Shoulder injury lands Niese on disabled list

PHILADELPHIA — The Mets placed Jonathon Niese on the 15-day disabled list Friday after the left-hander had to leave Thursday night's win in Atlanta with a partial rotator cuff tear in his left shoulder. Niese will be on a strength program for two weeks.
